Case Studies - Argent Energy Increased Output Steam Reduction

Biodiesel can be produced from an array of different oil-based materials.

The process produces certain by-products, including glycerol.

Part of the process is to heat glycerol to a given temperature of 130°C.


Problems were being experienced attaining this temperature.

TC Fluid control introduced revisions and subsequently the process came up to the required temperature of 130°C in half the previous time and typically uses 25% less steam.
