Having successfully completed the comprehensive re-design of the main plant steam and condensate services, TC Fluid Engineering are near to finishing the next phase of steam and condensate services to the new extension of their plant.
The local authorities prevented the installation of an additional steam boiler on the site, so a steam accumulator package was designed and installed to be supplied from the existing boiler house. This will provide the extra steam required for sterilisation and process heating without any high demand being placed on the existing boiler.
New pipework installation including a bespoke pipe bridge has now been completed, and we are currently installing new temperature and pressure controls for the sterilising vessels and hot water circuits to maintain temperatures in holding tanks.
TC Fluid Engineering have taken full responsibility for the calculation, design and installation of this project, working alongside our chosen contractors and the site staff. Completion scheduled for September 09 so that Argent Energy can become self sufficient in the handling of UCO (Used Cooking Oil) and Tallow ready for processing into Biodiesel.
